Tutor of Carpentry and Joinery

Ref: 2021/045

Hours: 37 hours per week (1.0 fte)

Salary: Up to £35,486 per annum (subject to experience and qualifications).

Plus generous benefits. These include:

55 days annual leave per year (including bank holidays and efficiency closures)

Generous Occupational Pension Scheme – employer contribution of 23.68%

Payment of 100% of your teacher training course fees if you do not have a recognised Level 5 teaching qualification (Cert Ed/PGCE)
– worth up to £6,000 over 2 years

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified individual with drive and enthusiasm who will relish the challenge of working with full time students and industry-based apprentices.

About the person

Previous teaching experience is not essential.  If you are qualified and experienced in either site joinery or bench carpentry and have a passion for developing students' employability skills, including English and Maths, then we would love to hear from you.

The role is fixed-term for 12 months.

Candidates may offer skills and experiences suitable for a proportion of role or the total 37 hours per week.
