1:1 Tutor

Doncaster

£25 per hour

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Full UK QTS

Vision for education are seeking qualified teachers with experience of working with Looked after Children, children with Special Education Needs or children who are disengaged from mainstream education to join our team from ASAP.

The role

The role of a 1:1 Tutor involves working with Looked After Children, students with special educational needs or students who are disengaged form their mainstream school and behaviours that challenge. This role requires a committed, enthusiastic and resilient individual, with great communication skills that has experience working with children with additional needs.

You will be required to work with a variety of students around the Doncaster area, which may be across a number of different settings, therefore having your own transport is highly beneficial.

The school

This role will see the successful 1:1 Tutor, supporting students in various settings across Doncaster, these may include schools, libraries, care homes.

Requirements

To be considered for the 1:1 Tutor position, you will:

Hold full UK QTS – either primary or secondary specialism
Have previous experience of working with Looked After Children, SEND and behaviours that challenge
2 school based performance references within the last 2 years
Available from asap and available from 2 - 6 hours per day
An enhanced DBS registered to the update service or willing to apply for one
The ability to work on initiative and proactively
Available for part time / full time positions
Able to work across Doncaster in a variety of settings
