I am currently looking for an Assistant Transport Administrator to work in Avonmouth
You will receive a salary of £28,000, the hours of work are Monday - Friday 6am-6.30pm.
You will work for a friendly family owned company who will make you feel like part of the team from day one ! and will supply you with lots of cups of coffee to make your day go quicker !
You will assist the Transport Logistics Manager with the day to day management of a fleet of 20 vehicles and sub-contractors in the Bristol and surrounding area, engaged within the building industry on site clearance, remediation and supply of quarried and recycled aggregates.
This role is dynamic and can evolve and develop as is necessary to achieve a competent and efficient driving staff and transport management team.
Main duties and responsibilities:
o Assisting with the day to day operations of the transport department.
o Dealing with client orders and enquiries.
o Ensuring company compliance of all transport policies, legislation and procedures to do with tachograph and working time directive. (Knowledge desirable not essential).
o Provide support with managing, monitoring and developing a team of drivers.
o Identifying operational issues, potential problems and opportunities.
o Resolving and managing customer queries courteously and efficiently.
o Assist with initial vehicle incident investigations.
o Ensure all drivers are fit to work & have necessary licences/qualifications prior to driving Bristol & Avon vehicles.
o Ensure all vehicle daily vehicle safety records are received and actioned/reported & maintained.
o Monitor productivity; tickets v vehicle tracking daily report; break times; driving time
o Maintain holiday schedule for driving staff, pass all holiday forms to record and forward to personnel.
Skills required:
o Excellent knowledge of Bristol area.
o People management
o Customer service
o Computer literate.
o Good administration skills.
o Excellent listening skills.
o Attention to detail.
