Role Summary

To support the Transport Manager in the organisation and administration of the site distribution function to achieve effective and efficient customer service, feed safety , legal compliance , a safe working environment within a best cost framework.

Role description

Maintain records across a range of areas to ensure accurate information is readily available to aid efficient decision making
Ensure that the achievement of food safety is always a priority
Support a strong Health and Safety culture while maintaining compliance with Health and Safety and Environmental Law and Policy.
Assist with the site Continuous Improvement Programme and encourage a culture of engagement across the team.
Communicate with other functions to understand and ensure expectations are met.
Deputise for the Transport Manager in their absence
Liaise with the planning team to ensure the available resources are fully utilised.
Collate data and undertake trend analysis to monitor and manage driver performance,
Working with production to ensure the mill is able to manufacture to requirements
Effectively and accurately maintain records on vehicles and drivers in line with current and future legislation
Working with operational management team to control costs and produce relevant KPI's

Experienced in a distribution support or administration role - E
Proficient in MS Office including Excel and Word - E
Experienced Delivering a high standard of accuracy in data input and spread sheet maintenance - E
Able to communicate to groups and all levels in business - E
Experienced in report generation and data interpretation - E
CPC qualified - D

Available to do the hours required for the role, which will vary according to business priorities - E
