Training Equipment Technician (2nd Line Support)
Business Unit - Marine Training

About the Role
As a Training Equipment Technician within our Marine Training business you'll be supporting us as we deliver world-class training both UK and Internationally. With over 800,000 training days delivered so far we equip people to operate and support the most complex marine platforms, logistics and equipment - using our collaborative, customer centric approach.

In this role, you would be delivering high quality maintenance on specific IT system and training equipment. You will be working in a small team providing 1st and 2nd line support to ensure all incidents are managed in line with agreed SLA's.

Other responsibilities will include:
* Provide user support to ensure the effective and timely resolution of technical problems, keeping users informed of the status of their request for support.
* Update and maintain the register of IT assets.
* Document solutions to problems regarding IT Hardware/Software and configuration and record them appropriately.
* Ensure backups are completed in accordance with system specific processes.
* Manage and Deliver Hardware/Software deployment as required.
* Build PC and Mobile Systems in line with contract and customer requirement.
* Monitor system alerts and reports and respond appropriately to all issues arising.
* Ensure the appropriate installation, maintenance and disposal of IS Equipment.
* Engage as required with contractors and suppliers of IS equipment.

What do I need to do the role?
* Experienced in 2nd line IT support
* Previous experience of fault finding, diagnosing, repairing and maintaining IT Systems and basic networking
* Previous experience of Active Directory user Account management
* Excellent working experience and knowledge of Windows based products such as Desktop OS and Office including the deployment and through life support
* Full UK Driving License
* ITIL foundation, Microsoft certifications and qualified academically in a relevant IT subject matter (desirable)

What do I need to do the role?
* You should hold or have the ability to obtain full SC clearance
* You will work a 37 hour working week with typically an earlier finish on a Friday
