Shifts : 06:00- 16:00/ 11:00- 21:00 week on/ week off (One Saturday in four (06:00- 14:00))

The Company

Our client is currently looking for an experienced Traffic Planner to join their growing company who has long specialised in the transportation of dangerous goods and chemicals for over 40 years.

Reporting to the Transport Manager and working alongside 2 other Traffic Planners the successful candidate will be responsible for the traffic planning of deliveries and collections of goods both on local and distance basis through a fleet of drivers, haulage networks and 3rd party subcontractors.

As a Traffic Planner, your duties will be:

" Supervising and managing driver workloads and all necessary paperwork.
" Arranging transport for all orders within the Fleet, Palletforce and Hazchem Networks.
" Load planning involving liaising with Warehouse.
" Monitoring drivers whereabouts and number of driving hours in line with the working time directive.
" Debriefing with drivers, customer contact and query resolution.
" Ensuring correct vehicles are used for correct loads (ADR).
" Acting as the out of hours point of contact.

The ideal Traffic Planner will hold the following skills and experiences:

" Previous Traffic Planning experience essential.
" Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
" Customer focused.
" Good planning and organising skills are key to this role.
" Great with problem solving and analysis.
" Ability to maintain personal performance and confidence in changing and challenging circumstances.

Additional Information:

The Successful Traffic Planner will in return receive a competitive salary between £24,000- £26,000 depending on experience, 20 days holiday plus bank holidays as well as a great pension scheme.

The successful candidate would need to be able to work one in four Saturdays from 06:00- 14:00.
