The role

As a Trade Control Officer, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You will work closely with the Trade Control Manager to ensure that Cavendish follow the UK government's legal regulations surrounding international movements, specifically in relation to the movement of intangible technology.

Day to day, you'll support the Trade Control Manager (TCM) in the execution of their responsibilities
Undertaking all required record-keeping in relation to export control classification, export control licences and due diligence
Assisting in the application of export control licences and authorisations
Assisting in internal audits of compliance with EU and national export control laws, and supporting any external audits
Carrying out the execution of Trade Control compliance Policy, Process and Procedure

Essential experience of the Trade Control Officer
Relevant experience in a Trade Control. Alternatively, experience with importing and exporting.
Experience with stakeholder management and influencing others
Strong communication skills, both written and verbally
Good interpersonal skills
Detail-oriented

This is a hybrid working role and would have to occasionally travel into CNL hubs for meetings.

Qualifications for the Trade Control Officer
Higher education level, degree level or equivalent (desirable)

The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance level for this role.
