Town Planner, Oxford, Abingdon - £28-38K  

This is an excellent opportunity for a Town Planner to join an award winning multidisciplinary who are expanding their successful planning team in Oxfordshire. On offer is the chance to work at a well-established practice, with an excellent local reputation.

This multidisciplinary practice works across Architecture, Urban Design and Planning. A successful candidate will get the opportunity to work on range of projects, including promoting educational, residential and mixed use development sites within historic environments. With exciting new projects including relocation of a business school and a large mixed use scheme including homes, care facilities and a school there will be a lot of challenges to get involved in. This would be a perfect opportunity for a qualified Town Planner who is looking to take responsibility for a team and develop their career.

Responsibilities – Town Planner
  • Develop creative and original planning solutions
  • Consult with stakeholders and other interested parties
  • Negotiate with developers and other professionals, such as surveyors and architects
  • Assess planning applications and monitor outcomes
  • Research and analyse data to help inform strategic developments
  • Design layouts and draft design statements
  • Attend and present at planning boards, appeals and public inquiries
Requirements – Town Planner
  • Experienced within practice
  • Relevant recognised qualification
  • Proficiency on CAD software
  • Project delivery
  • keep up to date with legislation associated with land use
  • Knowledge of UK best practice standards and UK experience
