About the role:

The purpose of the role is to support the Test Manager in the preparation and execution of testing for Projects Thames Water. The role is responsible for assisting with estimating effort and duration and then writing and executing scripts.

You will be working within the Service Transition Testing Assurance framework, operating with autonomy and planning own work to meet objectives and deliver within processes.

You will be influencing internal stakeholders, suppliers and partners within the assigned Project(s) and ensuring that testing activity required is executed within agreed deadlines.

You will make decisions relating to Testing to influence the success of assigned Project(s).

You will be collaborating with Project team members, users and customers to ensure that testing needs are being met throughout.

You will be operating within a broad range of complex technical activities, in a variety of contexts and investigating, defining and resolving complex issues.

You will be communicating fluently, orally and in writing, and presenting complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences.

You will facilitate collaboration between stakeholders involved in the Test Lifecycle to achieve Testing objectives for assigned Project(s).

You will have an understanding the importance of security to own work and seeking specialist security knowledge or advice when required to support own work.

To be successful you will have the following skills and experience:

Ideally you will have ISEB Foundation.

You will have experience of the E2E testing life cycle using both manual practices and automated test tools.

You will have strong technical skills, both functional and non-functional, manual and automation, ideally in a continuous delivery environment.

You will have a proven background in quality assurance, test analyst or business analysis skills and be an accredited Test professional e.g. ISEB foundation or similar.

You will have strong communication skills - will be working across resources from areas covering technical, project management, business, internal and external service providers.
