Our payroll department has opened up an opportunity for a trainee to get their foot in the door and begin a career in payroll. This temporary assignment as a Payroll Administrator is an exciting way to try a new aspect of administration with full training provided by the Head of Department; all you need is experience in administration.

This role is full time working Monday to Friday, 9am – 5:30pm, at an hourly rate of £8.50 - £9 depending on experience and administration skills.

Main duties will include:
Learning how to process wages to assist the payroll department
Learning all legislation of processing tax, national insurance and pensions
Acting as a line of support and advice for branches around the country
Understanding payslips and wage payments
Processing new starters and leavers, sick pay and maternity pay, etc.
Attending regular meetings to understand everyone's workload and provide assistance
Processing same day payments and requests
Data input of various paperwork when required and to audit standards
Carry out any other admin duties

As above, all training will be provided for all payrolls but administration skills should already be in place. Please bear in mind that this is a long term temporary assignment so you need to be available inevitably.
