About the role:

The Technical Business Management Analyst will work closely with the Thames Digital Leadership Team, cost centre managers, and technical subject matter experts (SME), to gain insight in to the key cost drivers for technology across the whole of Thames Water using Apptio (Digital’s Technology Business Management Tool).

To be successful you will have the following skills and experience:

You will ensure data from SAP & HFM is correctly loaded in to Apptio and validate that all data is flowing correctly through the cost model on a monthly basis.

Work with the Digital Leadership Team, Cost centre managers and SMEs, to gather business requirements and translate that information in to a working set of operational & functional models, dashboards, and management reports.

Support SMEs and cost centre managers in the analysis of data within Apptio to provide insight on key drivers of technology costs within the business.

Work with the SMEs to ensure the continual improvement of data quality from the CMDB (Service Now) utilising the data within Apptio.

Be the point of contact for the Apptio Suite of products, Support the Technology Business Manager in the continued adoption of Apptio across Thames Digital, and design and implementation of the rollout plan to the wider business.

Your previous experience includes you being experienced in advanced analytical skills, advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, arrays etc).

You have the ability to convert raw data & analysis into an accessible, professional output (e.g. report / dashboard as required), work efficiently and effectively with multiple levels of management and staff across the organisation.

You would have knowledge of basic comprehension of IT terminology (e.g. being able to identify the categorisation of an item) and an Understanding of IT Infrastructure domains (e.g. data centres, network / communications, server utilisation, virtual environments, storage, and application development.

Knowledge of financial management processes and best practices such as budgeting, forecasting, cost allocations, and capital & operating expense handling.

You may also have previous experience of Apptio products.

You may also be qualified in:
  • TBMA Certified (Apptio University Qualification)
  • Power BI experience
  • Knowledge of ITIL
