Job Description

The world’s leading IPTV company is looking to recruit a technical support engineer to work in their Dalgety Bay Head Office dealing with clients across the globe.

This is a great opportunity to join a high growth leader in the supply of hardware and software to a wide variety of businesses.

The company themselves offer a great open plan environment with a strong benefits package, good social and events programme and a growing client base. There is on-site parking and the office is next to mainline rail and bus services.

The role itself involves mainly dealing with post-sales enquires which are part of a support contract. You will mainly be speaking with channel partners who provide the products as part of a service; which means you will be dealing with technically minded stakeholders in a mainly 2nd line capacity.

Duties include:
  • Email and telephone support
  • Troubleshooting across a variety of products including Digital and broadcast video, IP Networking and IP Multicasting, third party product integration
  • Assisting partners with published APIs
  • Writing and sharing knowledgebase articles for  internal and external use

What We Are Looking For

You will be an experienced Technical Support person with proven knowledge of the seven layers of networking. Experience of or interest in IP technology would be really beneficial. You will be able to show your competency in post-sales technical support at a second or third line level.

The organisation have a strong technical team and are looking for someone who holds a degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Networking.

You will be able to show excellent written and verbal communication skills and aa commitment to great customer service and going the extra mile is key.
