Job Title: Technical Sales Engineer

Salary: £24,000 – £25,000 + monthly team bonus (OTE £28,000)
The Role
An opportunity has arisen for a technically minded person to work as a Technical Sales Engineer within a market leading supplier of a range of engineered products, selling into the construction industry.
The Sales Engineer is responsible for providing quotes in response to incoming enquiries from Contractors/Engineers and Architects. The request is processed through a highly efficient and user friendly IT system to produce a quote.
The Ideal candidate would have experience within the Plumbing/ heating trade. We would be interested in people currently working in the following roles -
Technical Sales representative, Internal Technical Sales, Estimator, Sales Engineer, Project Sales Representative, Export Sales Assistant or anyone working within a Plumbing Merchants.
In summary the of the Sales Engineer's duties will include:
• Discuss new customers product requirements and advise accordingly
• Review and interpret technical drawings (after initial guidance and training)
• To gather technical information, details and measurements in order to provide an accurate quote
• Be the go-to person for the customer for any queries and alterations until final sign off
• Deliver an excellent customer experience to encourage repeat orders
• To work closely with the external sales representatives and consulting engineers
• Provide support to external sales by following up selected projects
• Deal with warranty issues and customer complaints
• Use Selection software and Company IT
• Update customer's details onto company records
• Deal with e-mail correspondence
• Deal with suppliers on factored products
• Liaise with the other departments in the company
• Handle telephone calls

The ideal Sales Engineer will be:
• very technically minded with great attention to detail
• a clear communicator, both verbal and written
• able to work under pressure and to deadlines
• able to work independently and on own initiative
