The role
As a Engineering Delivery Lead, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll be working on a wide range of naval systems in a forward-looking team, managing a dynamic discipline team, with great benefits of agile working. No two days will be the same managing team tasking and onboard support nationally and internationally maintaining Royal Navy Fleet in service.
Day to day, you'll:
Provide line management of a team of Analysts, specialising in the delivery of engineering tasking.
Liaise with the Engineering Manager to determine and provide the resource required.
Provide appropriate status and other reports to specialists, users and managers, based on tasking delivery, team output and contract activities.
Ensure that operational procedures and working practices are fit for purpose and current.
Ensure that appropriate action is taken to anticipate, investigate and resolve problems in systems and equipment.
Ensure that such problems are fully documented within the relevant reporting system(s). Coordinates the implementation of agreed remedies and preventative measures.
Contribute to delivering team tasking which is assigned to themselves.
Essential experience of the Engineering Delivery Lead,
Experience in leading teams as well as task delivery, forecasting, project controls, planning and reporting.
Experience in maintaining complex Marine Systems.
Component Analysis, design Life Cycle, product Lifecycle and/or Data Management.
Naval management systems such as Kraken, MCWE, ODMS, S2022 etc.
Integrated Product Support and Technical Publications.
Obsolescence rectification.
This role provides hybrid working with two to four days per month onsite and the rest working from home. However, you must be able and willing to be onsite if the project demands.
Qualifications for the Engineering Delivery Lead,
Engineering related Degree is desirable, or equivalent qualifications and experience
Woking towards or already has achieved IEng status with relevant council.
The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance level for this role.
