POSITION: Teaching Assistant with experience of working with Autism.
SCHOOL: Large and well-resourced primary - work alongside their Class Teachers, Educational Psychologist and Speech & Language Therapist.
ROLE: Support a specialist primary aged class of Autistic pupils.
START DATE: September
PAY: £70-£80 per day dependant on experience
The Head Teacher has a vacancy for an experienced Teaching Assistant who has a mature outlook to be able to face the challenges associated with supporting SEN pupils. The children in this class are between the ages of 5-11 with varying levels of Autism. As well as being diagnosed with Autism, some of the children have learning difficulties such as Dyslexia, ADHD and speech and language communication difficulties.
If you are determined to forge a successful career within a mainstream school, this Teaching Assistant role will rapidly develop your practical knowledge and improve your skillset & confidence in a classroom setting. The Head Teacher will provide you with additional professional training and development opportunities while in this role!
