Vision for Education is seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant Level 3 to join our successful supply teaching team and to work in a Nursery Class of a local primary school in Sheffield. This is a full-time primary teaching assistant role, which will commence in Jan 2023 until July 2023.

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are Level 3 Teaching Assistant.

The role

The desired Level 3 Teaching Assistants will be working in a Nursery class. This will be as a full class Teaching Assistant starting Jan 2023 – July 2023. You will need to be committed and dedicated with a caring approach in your work. You will need excellent knowledge of the Early Years curriculum and be willing to be part of an inclusive team.

This primary school is an excellent, inclusive, primary school in a highly accessible area. The school has clear values and an ethos that encourages children to be proud, take responsibility and make clear progress. The required post holder would need a good understanding of children’s development in the key stages with Phonics being a key element. To be considered for the position of Teaching Assistant, you will:

Hold a minimum of a Level 3 qualification in Teaching and Learning in Schools.
Have experience of working as a Teaching Assistant in a Primary environment.
Be experienced in working with smaller nurture groups to boost attainment.

Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of school staff.
Ideally have experience delivering primary lessons.
