Teaching Assistant

Salary £65 - £70 per day Sector Education & Training
1-2-1 Teaching Assistant required to work with a student that is no longer in mainstream education. You will be supporting a Key Stage 3 student that requires additional academic and behaviour support. We are looking for a Teaching Assistant that is passionate about making a difference and is comfortable working with very challenging behaviour.

With small classes and an excellent leadership team this school caters for children that have been excluded from mainstream education. It is a fast paced environment where Teaching Assistants are required to manage classroom behaviour and provide any additional academic support. This is a challenging and rewarding environment where you are able to make a real difference.

Job Role:
  • Providing academic support in lessons
  • Working closely with teaching staff
  • Delivering fun break out activities
  • Helping students engage in lessons
  • Making a difference!
 

Ideally, you will:
  • Have experience working with challenging behaviour
  • Be passionate about education
  • Be able to build rapport quickly with students
  • Know how to deescalate potentially challenging situations
 With a great team and dynamic leadership this is a great opportunity for a Learning Mentor or Teaching Assistant who is looking to make a difference to the children that they work with.
