Our Digital Capability team is core to building, retaining and motivating talent from all backgrounds in DWP Digital. You'll join us as a Senior Digital Capability Manager with a focus on Talent Development.

You will lead our friendly, driven Talent Development team as we look to join-up a really big picture across Digital in DWP and wider government.

You'll need broad and extensive senior-level expertise in a similar role. That could be L&D, training schemes, career coaching and/or talent management.

You'll use your insight, experience and instincts to decide how we set the strategy for people and talent development, and to design and deliver exciting, impactful, inclusive and innovative activities.

You need to have great communication skills, confidence, patience and tenacity, and to like working with people.

You'll collaborate with senior leaders and teams from across digital to understand their capability and development needs, and then provide options, advice and joined-up solutions to get the job done right.

You'll also work with our Digital teams, including technical specialists, practice leads, trainees, HR, suppliers and partners, and of course your team mates. Together you'll create a positive all-round employee experience, implementing a strategy that ensures we retain our brilliant colleagues.

What skills, knowledge and experience do you need?

Expertise in creating, implementing and developing successful, credible and impactful Learning & Development, Talent and/or Training strategies in a large, complex organisation.
Experience of managing teams in a capability-build environment, with exemplary leadership skills - you are able to inspire and engage others.
You build big, positive relationships, collaborating and managing stakeholders at all levels and backgrounds.
Brilliant Project Management and organisation skills - you can plan, set up and manage multiple high pressure projects; you understand governance protocols; you analyse data, activity and performance; and deliver to time and budget.
You're a great communicator and influencer - you can present information in a range of ways; you are confident and clear in articulating complex and detailed content; you can engage and persuade your audience.
Experience of working within a Digital or Technology environment is also desirable Details. Wages. Perks.
