Job Description

We are looking for someone to join us on a permanent part time 30 hour basis per week. Shifts patterns are typically 10-4 Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday with the occasional sleep in.

Due to the nature of the nature of the person we support here a driver is preferred but not required.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, compassionate and reliable individual to join our team in Wigan. We are currently supporting a young man who lives at home with his mum but is looking to move into his own property in the near future. He is extremely active, sociable and loves to engage in the local community as much as possible. He has done volunteering work in the past and has a passion for caring for others. He does have his own vehicle so a driver is preferred but not essential as he loves taking regular trips out to places such as the local swimming pool, theatre, going to the beach and more. When he isn’t out and about he also enjoys spending time at home taking part in arts and crafts, he especially loves making hand made cards for his family and friends when the holidays come around. He also loves playing board games (especially monopoly) and watching his favourite soaps in the evenings. This individual is currently learning to sign Makaton as one of his good friends communicates this way and would love to be able to do this with him. Although he is independent he does still require a range of care needs, the staff are currently working on positive behaviour support with him to gain the experience he will later on use in his day – to – day life.
