We are looking for Support Workers to join us on a permanent, full time or part time basis. Shifts will be spread across mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends and bank holidays.
Typical shift times are usually 7:30 am - 14:00, 7:30 am, 15:30, 10:00 am - 20:00 , 15:30 - 22:00. We can be flexible with shifts.

What does a Support Worker do?
As a Support Worker you will be expected to provide an outstanding level of support that will enormously contribute to the people we support, living a more comfortable, dignified, liberated and happy life.
Personal care - helping people to get ready for the day and assisting with bathing, showering and using the bathroom.
Supporting people to live independently – budget management, paying bills, housework, organising appointments and cooking delicious healthy meals.
Excellent communication skills/relationship building – supporting the person to understand the world around them and promoting positive relationships.
Community & Social Inclusion- Supporting individuals to access and participate in their local community and Social events to promote life skills and individuality.
Our Service & The People We Support
Are you a person who likes variety in their work, knowing each day will be different to the last. Here at Pocklington that is the case. We support three males and one female.
The people we support at Pocklington require 24-hour care. The individuals we support choose a range of activities they enjoy being involved in. Some typical examples are
Doing arts and crafts
Car rides out
Going shopping and out for lunch
Loves listening to music and the rocky horror show
Loves going out and about in the community
Our service also has a lovely large garden which is made use of in the Summer, BBQ’s are a favourite! The people we support also love to garden and grow their own vegetables.
