Are you a highly motivated team worker committed to helping people with Mental Health problems/Complex Needs?
Vibrance has an exciting opportunity available for you to join the team as a Support Worker based in Rook Lodge. You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis working 37 hours per week. In return, you will receive a salary of £18,348 per annum plus benefits.
Vibrance provides a range of innovative supported housing and community care services to adults with a learning disability and adults who use mental health services.
Staff are involved in supporting the residents in all aspects of their daily life, and because all our residents have different and changing needs, each individual has a care plan.
About the Support Worker role:
We are looking for highly motivated individuals to join our dedicated staff team. You will work closely with residents, providing them with physical and emotional support in all areas of day-to-day life, both inside and outside the home (e.g. personal care, mealtimes, recreation and leisure, attending medical appointments etc).
During these unprecedented times, the role may look different as the focus is on supporting people to live within the national guidance and stay safe. Some of our residents have been tested positive for Covid-19, so supporting these people will also be required. All staff are provided with the appropriate PPE and Infection Prevention Control training to carry out their work safely, and in-house Covid-19 testing, and access to the national vaccine programme is also available. You may be aware that Lateral Flow Tests (LFT) are readily available to members of the public. These tests can be self-administered. The need to self-administer LFT is now viewed as an extra line of defence in protecting us from the COVID19 virus.
What we are looking for in our Support Worker:
Experience within a Mental Health care setting would be advantageous and most importantly though, you must be able to demonstrate a positive attitude towards people with mental health problems/complex needs and the principles of community care.
In return for your skills, knowledge and experience, you'll enjoy all the support you need to develop a rewarding career, including an opportunity to attend a comprehensive training programme covering core skills, Corporate Induction and continue your professional development in line with nationally recognised care standards.
We will also offer our Support Worker a range of benefits, including generous holiday entitlement, a contributory pension scheme, and recognition of service awards.
