Wage: £14.00 to £17.00 gross per hour depending on experience
Driver required? Preferable
Use of a car? On duty
Essential: Genuine interest in supporting a child with complex medical needs, training will be provided
Preferable: Tracheostomy care, JEJ, PEG, suctioning, manual handing
Start Date:ASAP
Days & Hours: 33 hours, Shifts available : Monday 12.00pm - 8.00pm, Tuesday 3.00pm - 8.00pm, Wednesday 10.00am - 8.00pm, Thursday 3.00pm-8.00pm, Friday 12.00pm -7.00pm, Sunday, 7.30am – 7.30pm, Full time and part time available

About this client/child:
Sofia (11) is a lovely young lady who likes sensory play, listening to stories and music and baking. Sofia has quadriplegic cerebral palsy, epilepsy, tracheostomy, is visualy impaired, non-verbal and has significant complex medical needs. Sofia’s feeding and medication is administred through JEJ and PEG, she requires suctioning and has 2:1 care, 24/7.

Overview of role:
We are looking for kind and resilient *female support workers who will assist Sofia with her weekday routine and at the weekends, working alongside a second support worker. You will be responsible for supporting Sofia by providing personal care, following recommended therapy techniques, monitoring her health and engage Sofia in appropriate activities.

Who this job would suit:
This role will suit a caring, calm and competent candidate with a genine interest supporting children with complex medical needs. A non-smoker is essential. You will be required to wear PPE at all times and this wil be provided, training to use a respirator will be given prior to a trial shift.
