Job Description

We are looking for someone to join our Registered Service in Amersham, Buckinghamshire on a permanent basis, full time or part time hours basis (variety of hours available). Shifts will be spread across mornings, afternoons, evenings and sleep ins, weekends and bank holidays.

We are looking for enthusiastic, friendly, upbeat individuals to join our registered service which is home to four males and one female with learning disability.

The people we support are very fun-loving and enjoyable to support. Some of the activities they enjoy include visiting coffee shops, shopping, bowling, cinema, massages and going out for meals. Your role as support worker will be to encourage them to try new things, as well as help them with their daily activities.

What does a Support Worker do?

As a Support Worker you will be expected to provide an outstanding level of support that will enormously contribute to the people we support, living a more comfortable, dignified, liberated and happy life.

Personal care - helping people to get ready for the day and assisting with bathing, showering and using the bathroom.

Supporting people to live independently – budget management, paying bills, housework, organising appointments and cooking delicious healthy meals.

Excellent communication skills/relationship building – supporting the person to understand the world around them and promoting positive relationships.

Community & Social Inclusion- Supporting individuals to access and participate in their local community and Social events to promote life skills and individuality.
