Job Description of a Supply Chain Manager
The post holder will oversea and lead all purchasing, planning and logistics activities.
Reporting directly to the Operations Director the Supply Chain Manager will control £25million spend, develop key supplier strategies and relationships, working to tight deadlines and drive improvements and support new initiatives. It is important to source products from the Far East and manage the inventory management system.
The successful candidate will drive low cost sourcing, carry out supplier bench marking activities across key commodities and identify new suppliers.
Skills & experience of a Supply Chain Manager
It is ESSENTIAL for the successful candidate to have relevant suitable experience within a high volume manufacturer and be successful in leading and motivating a team.
Be able to manage a large workload, be an effective communicator, well organised, negotiate successfully and effective relationships.
