Defence Equipment

The Supervisor role is based within our Defence Equipment business area.

Defence equipment stores, maintains, repairs and overhauls military vehicles and equipment so the UK army is able to train and deploy in a moment. As well as supporting vehicles that are already in service, the team carries out vehicle assembly integration and tests new vehicles.

The difference our new Supervisor will make

As a Supervisor, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll provide the first line management capability for our operational organisation.

Day to day, you'll update visual plans/ charts / information to inform operative staff where they are against output plan(s), update systems (e.g ERP) of production output while planning ahead 2 weeks in advance for available resource/capacity vs demand plan and reacting to misalignments.

You'll react to events that put output at risk (Material, equipment, resource problems), raising output risk(s) with higher management, plan effectively for plant/ equipment downtime with FM to minimise impact on output and follow through non-conformance reports and implementing containment/corrective actions.

Essential experience
Level 3 NVQ in Vehicle Mechanics
You must hold or have the ability to obtain SC security clearance
