My client, a leading manufacturer based near Cirencester is looking for a Production Stores Assistant to provide support for the Logistics Manager and other Logistics Team members and drive improvement in the operation of the production.

Main duties

*Create works orders for all projects, driers and small sales orders released via sage and amendment and ensure all paperwork stays with every order
*Once created print all job sheets and route cards
*Amend any works orders as per request from Design Department
*Attend production meetings
*Allocate stock to driers as per start date on drier schedule/meeting
*Make notes for what Storeman is required to pick & chase up any outstanding purchase order
*Allocate when you know when the job is to be started & issue when Storeman hands out kit
*Complete any works orders that come into stores to correct locations
*Raise any stock works order requests
*Answer phone to customers and internal & assist customers who visit the stores area
*Answer the hatch and serve the factory
*Assist with picking items if Storeman needs help and print off Stores picking lists and assign to pre-defined location
*Print packing lists and put in relevant tray for Storeman and produce fastener labels if required, once packing list is complete, transfer data onto server and file paper copy
*Arrange collections with Pallet-ways and other Couriers (TNT, DHL, UPS ) and print relevant paperwork such as despatch note, manifest, labels
*Despatch sales orders as and when they leave, making sure that any info requested by accounts department, is on the order before despatching on Sage system
*Book in direct deliveries as per requests by purchasing -allocate parts to sales orders and then despatch
*To provide other admin and ad hoc duties as and when requested

Required Experience & Skills:

*Sage 200 or another ERP System, Microsoft Office
*Experience in stores/despatch an advantage in a manufacturing environment
*Polite and helpful to customers and suppliers
*Thorough, meticulous and organised
*Good at time management/prioritisation, able to work to deadlines under pressure
*Able to develop a strong working relationship within the team and
