Our SEND Team here at Vision for Education specialises in the support of pupils in school who have either barriers to learning or physical difficulties.
We work with a wide variety of schools who require enthusiastic, nurturing and supportive Special Needs Teaching Assistants who can help to make a difference to the experience of pupils either with special needs, or who have become disengaged with education.
Working with pupils aged from 4 – 19, your assistance during their school day will enhance how much they enjoy school, and how much they get out of going to school. The roles we have can be part-time and flexible to fit around your personal circumstances or can be full-time if that’s is what you are looking for.
This is a fantastic opportunity to use your skills and expertise to help young people to become successful at learning, confident as individuals and to live productive and responsible lives.
To work 1:1 with students who may demonstrate challenging behaviour and who may be statemented and have Special Educational Needs.
To facilitate a safe and positive learning environment and de-escalate any threatening or aggressive behaviour.
To mentor and engage with the student, delivering specifically designed educational packages.
To work alongside the classroom teacher or home tutors
Requirements - A successful candidate must:
be patient, engaging, inspiring, creative, consistent, and calm when under pressure.
Have a minimum of 6 weeks relevant experience
Be someone who enjoys the immensely rewarding work of inspiring students who are emotionally and/or socially challenged.
