Job Description

Our client is a beautiful restaurant serving beautiful a mixture of beautify cooked meats to pastas, salads and amazingly cooked pizzas through is wood fire ovens, this restaurant is a sight to be seen.  Currently in the market to recruit a full time Sous Chef they are looking for a chef with high drive passion and determination that can work alongside their head chef to deliver excellence.  Working a mixed shift pattern between splits and straight up to 45 hours per week.  5/7 days with good tips split between the staff.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To ensure the food preparation and presentation meets the required standards


  • To comply with the restaurants health and safety and food safety legislations


  • To supervise and motivate the team


  • To monitor portion control, fresh food and dry store orders

     


What You Need To Be a Successful Head:

  • NVQ or City & Guilds Chef qualifications are desirable
  • Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (advantageous)
  • Previous experience in Italian cuisine (advantageous)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Previous experience in a similar role
