The hotel is a very popular venue due to its central location, quality standards and award winning restaurant. They cater for weddings, private functions, company conferences, daily snack, afternoon tea and evening restaurant menu's. The majority of food is all freshly prepared on site and locally sourced where possible.
The sous chef position will be working closely with the head chef to maintain high standards, continuously create exciting menus and train / develop the team. You will be in charge of the kitchen operation in the head chef's absence and will be able to show strong leadership skills to maintain structure throughout the team.
The ideal candidate will have previously worked within a 4/5* hotel kitchen, will have a minimum of 12 months sous chef experience, will be classically trained and have a real passion for food, with the ambition to keep progressing and learning.
The job is working 5 days per week, to a 45 hour contract with both straight and split shifts. The hotel is easily reachable by public transport.
