Social Media Executive - Temp - £13.30 per hour
National charity is seeking an experienced Social Media Executive to support their Marketing and Communications team at their City of London based offices.

This is a temporary role to start ASAP for an initial 6 week period and will pay £13.30 per hour.

The Social Media Executive will contribute to driving forward the charity's overall digital marketing strategy, to grow their audience profile and to create an impact for their supporters. The main duties of the Social Media Executive will include:
  • Maintain and support the charity's audience on the various social platforms, responding to stakeholder requests and moderating content, to create a safe and friendly environment for all our supporters
  • To work closely with the Digital Fundraising Manager and Digital Content Editor to originate social media content and curate content from the rest of the organisation to support key acquisition campaigns, making sure it meets quality standards
  • Run a QA process to ensure accurate campaign implementation, performance, adheres to brand guidelines and is appropriate for various audiences and platforms
  • Develop paid social media strategies that detail campaign objectives, tactics, rationale, strategy, budget allocation and media selection
  • Execute and manage direct response and brand organic / paid social media campaigns and initiatives that expand the organisations awareness, drive supporter growth and acquisitions
  • Develop a social media strategy and set goals to increase brand awareness and increase engagement
  • Coordinate engagement and content publishing activity on the main social channels, currently with a focus on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube
  • Form key relationships with influencers and micro influencers across the social media platforms
The ideal Social Media Executive will have the following knowledge, skills and experience:
  • Educated to degree level or with relevant experience.
  • A solid understanding of the use of a range of social media platforms, particularly in relation to activating advertising and brand awareness activities to a variety of audiences
  • Knowledge of using social intelligence tools such as Social Report, Falcon and/or Brandwatch
  • Knowledge and understanding of social media platform algorithms
  • Knowledge of implementing AI and building workflows
  • Creative skills for contributing new and innovative ideas
  • Data analysis skills and statistical prowess to draw actionable insights
  • Strong editing and writing skills suitable for each platform, from knowing how to write a successful tweet or post to using effective storytelling techniques
  • Experience in building and executing social media strategy through competitive and audience research
  • Experience in designing social media content to sustain and raise brand awareness
  • Experience of developing an optimal posting schedule, considering web traffic and supporter engagement metrics
  • Ability to demonstrate due diligence and attention to detail
  • Experience of being part of a digital transformation project
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, and able to influence/persuade a wide range of stakeholders at all levels of seniority
  • Enthusiastic, driven and used to working in a fast-paced environment
  • Passionate and committed working in social media marketing
