ICT Service Desk Support Officer required to undertake a 7 month temporary assignment for a West Midlands local authority. Based in Central Warwick you will receive support calls from schools via the main Service Desk telephone number and be required to achieve a high number of fixes at that first point of contact plus:-
  • Accurately log the details of each support call and actions taken onto the Service Desk call logging system
  • Progress chase, monitor and escalate support calls logged to the relevant ICT group where the call is not immediately resolved at the Service Desk
  • Process all support calls within the agreed standards and responses operated by the Service Desk
  • Diagnose and fix reported problems with PCs, laptops and peripherals
  • Assist the Service Desk in undertaking key tasks associated with the processing of calls and with maintaining the call logging system
  • Act as a liaison point between individual users and any third party maintenance company
  • Contribute to any agreed projects as required
  • Assist in the process of proactively updating and monitoring information about important `hot' issues and major incidents and the processes used to notify users
  • Maintain support cover for the Service Desk during each working day
  • Continually develop a greater depth of knowledge of products and services in order to support as many calls as possible at the first point of contact

37 hr per week. Term time cover only is possible. £12.35 ph.
