Amazing opportunity on offer for a Structural Designer that will play an instrumental part in delivering and growing our design support capability at the Devonport dockyard.
Who we are looking for?
We are looking for someone with a solid background of structural design work and proven experience of working under complex technical standards. A senior designer would be able to support the principal engineer and assist junior members of staff when needed.
What will you be doing?
Preparation and production of drawings
Working within recognised ISO standards and to time, cost and quality requirements
Support the principal engineer with allocation of tasks
Working with various stakeholders regarding design reviews and design related issues
Resolution of technical queries
Support continuous improvement of processes and practices
The experience you'll bring
Solid structural engineering background / knowledge base
Minimum HNC / HND in relevant engineering subject
Understanding of Health & Safety requirements and quality standards
Need to have / or be able to obtain necessary level of security clearance
