The Senior Risk and Insurance Manager role is based within our Babcock Corporate Services (BCS) business unit.

Babcock Corporate Services (BCS) is a global function, with our largest site being Lakeside in Portsmouth, but we operate from multiple sites around the world. BCS supplies and operates all IT, security, procurement, and finance Shared Services. We are embedded alongside the operations that we serve, enabling us to maintain close working relationships that support delivery to our customers. We drive standardisation, simplification and automation across Babcock, to help generate sustainable value for the group and our external customers.

The Role

The difference our new Senior Risk and Insurance Manager will make:

As a Senior Risk and Insurance Manager, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary, through assisting the Group Head of Risk, Insurance and Internal Audit in the maintenance and development of best practice risk management procedures throughout the organisation ensuring that enterprise-wide management and modelling of risk is consistent and accurate.

Day to day, you'll be responsible for partnering with management, to provide continual risk assessment and in the development of comprehensive policies, procedures, compliance training, protocols, internal investigations, plans and the implementation of risk management strategies and processes.

Essential Experience
Demonstratable experience in enterprise and operational risk management.
Thorough understanding of policies and best practices of risk management.
Ideally, possess a degree in Business or finance or equivalent or hold a recognised professional qualification.
Holding an ACII Professional Qualification would be advantageous.
Previous Defence sector experience is highly desirable.
