Job Description

We are looking for an experienced software developer to help lead and grow the team, working alongside our Development Lead and Heads of Technology and Software Delivery. Support will be given through mentoring, training and regular reviews.
The successful candidate will take a key role in the design and hands-on development of our products, solving technical challenges and supporting and mentoring more junior members of the team. They will also influence our strategy and approach, ensuring that our processes are scalable and quality-focused.
This role offers a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to have a voice in how software is delivered and to take a lead role in a growing team.
The successful candidate will have:
* 3 – 5 years’ experience developing robust code in a professional environment
* Strong skills in:
* React
* JavaScript ES6+
* TypeScript
* Node.js and package managers
* Database development (e.g. SQL Server/PostGres)
* Worked in Agile development environments
* Experience with Docker and containerising applications
* Experience of automated testing/test runners (e.g. Jest/Mocha)
* Worked with CI/CD pipelines (Gitlab/Jenkins)
Experience with some of the below would be preferable:
* Developing software in complex data environments
* Data Analytics techniques
* Deploying and managing applications on cloud infrastructure (ideally AWS)
* Sass
* NestJS
* Webpack
Whilst we try to minimise travel whenever possible and promote remote working, our consultants do sometimes travel to various client sites across the UK. We will cover all expenses whilst you are away and make sure you are well looked after.
Remote working during Covid-19
