The role
The difference our new Senior Quantity Surveyor role will make
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You will be accountable for the commercial administration of a contract (or contracts), ensuring compliance with the contract terms and conditions and company and group policies, procedures and delegated authorities. Through astute contract administration, robust risk management and skilled negotiation, manage the contract(s) effectively to deliver or improve the agreed profitability and cash projections. Develop and maintain excellent client, supply chain and business function relationships, and ensure the core values of the company are upheld at all times.
Day to day, you'll take full accountability for commercially managing a major contract(s), providing a comprehensive and professional commercial service from contract award to completion. Deliver or improve agreed profitability and cash collections targets, ensuring change control and claims are submitted in accordance with the contract and agreed in a timely manner, with minimal impact on cash flow. Manage from commencement to completion, all commercial deliverables in line with the contract requirements and timescales (including supply chain contracts), monitoring the production of records, correspondence and documentation required to strengthen the company's commercial position. Key tasks are inclusive of: Cost control and forecasting, cash collection (original scope, change control and claims) and change control management.

Essential experience
BSc (hons) in Quantity Surveyor or equivalent qualification
Experienced in delivering contracts with value up to £10m
Effective communicator (written and verbal) and experience in negotiation
3+ years in a Quantity Surveying role
