The role

The difference our new Senior Quality Engineer - Goods Inwards will make

As a Senior Quality Engineer - Goods Inwards, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. Your key focus will be to coordinate the activities of Whetstone Goods Inwards quality function, ensuring inspection backlogs and turnaround times are within the organisation targets.

Day to day, you'll carry out goods inwards quality activities, ensuring it meets production, project, procurement, and customer requirements, support the Whetstone production site by conducting audits and driving corrective and preventative action and participate / support customer and regulatory audits as and when required. You'll also participate in non-conformance reports, 5 WHY, 4C and 8D investigations and support the business by identifying improvement opportunities and supporting initiatives to provide a "best in class" service.

Essential experience
Degree (or equivalent) in an appropriate subject or Engineering based apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
Member of the Chartered Quality Institute, or similar
Significant experience in a quality related role
Lean awareness.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, procedures and supporting documentation.
You must be able to achieve SC clearance
