Senior Purchase Ledger Clerk

We are currently looking for an experienced Purchase Ledger clerk to join one of quickest growing companies in the South West. You will ideally have over one year’s experience and have some experience in leading a team in the absence of senior team members.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ownership of five ledgers for reconciliation
  • Weekly payment run processing and provision of remittance advices
  • Opening balance tidy up including ensuring issues are dealt with within 14 days
  • Ledger maintenance to ensure it remains within the SLA
  • Supplier liaison in relation to your ledgers for month end reconciliations
  • Preparation of ledgers to year end standard
  • Escalation of queries resolved within the 24 hour SLA
  • Completion of month end statement reconciliations
  • Supporting new team members to ensure they are fully trained
  • Any other tasks as needed
 Person Specifications:
  • Currently studying AAT or similar
  • Excellent IT skills including Excel (VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables)
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet scheduled deadlines
  • Accurate approach to processing
  • Good communication skills, both oral and written
