Job Description

We are currently looking for an immediately available and experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to undertake a temporary assignment. You will ideally have over one year's experience and have some experience in leading a team in the absence of senior team members.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ownership of five ledgers for reconciliation
• Weekly payment run processing and provision of remittance advices
• Opening balance tidy up including ensuring issues are dealt with within 14 days
• Ledger maintenance to ensure it remains within the SLA
• Supplier liaison in relation to your ledgers for month end reconciliations
• Preparation of ledgers to year end standard
• Escalation of queries resolved within the 24 hour SLA
• Completion of month end statement reconciliations
• Supporting new team members to ensure they are fully trained
• Any other tasks as needed

Person Specifications:

• Currently studying AAT or similar
• Excellent IT skills including Excel (VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables)
• Ability to work under pressure to meet scheduled deadlines
• Accurate approach to processing
• Good communication skills, both oral and written
• Able to support in promoting a positive work atmosphere
