This is a permanent role, working 35 hours per week, paying £52,000 per annum + excellent benefits - interviews will be taking place at end of May 2019
Core duties of the Senior Programme Manager include:
" Support the programme managers to deliver work on time, within budget and to a high standard.
" Provide training, support, supervision, appraisals and coaching to programme managers
" Attend regular meetings with senior leads and managers to make decisions regarding the management and development of the department
" Work with the programme managers, project teams and other stakeholders to ensure that the methods used for collecting, analysing and reporting data are effective.
" Ensure publications, reports, webpages and other communication outputs are engaging, relevant and of a high standard.
" Represent and promote the directorate through high level meetings and collaborative working with bodies such as NHS England, NICE, the Care Quality Commission, other medical royal colleges, professional and regulatory bodies, the voluntary sector and funders.
" Develop plans to market the work of the directorate and grow the membership of the networks.
" Ensure that the mental health services taking part in the programmes are provided with guidance, training and networking opportunities to learn about Quality Improvement (QI) methods.
" Ensure strong financial management is in place and have a strategy to ensure that projects remain financially viable
" Design and deliver presentations, workshops, training sessions and national events.
" Attend and lead site visits to assess the quality of care being provided and attend regular meetings with other senior managers to support and influence the work of the wider organisation.
" Travel across the UK and overseas if required. Overnight stays may be required on occasion and a level of flexibility is needed at periods of increased workload.
