As part of our Engineering, Technical and Specialist Capability team within our Specialist Services Capability, the Senior Process Engineer manages the delivery of engineering and technical activities through the application of process, domain knowledge and experience.

We are looking for people who are collaborative and can bring their processing experience across a range of projects within the organisation. Growing as a business, we have a broad range of diverse and interesting projects stretched across all of UK and Scotland, so location isn't an issue. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Working in accordance with the Being Cavendish Nuclear Principles.

2. Ensuring that procedures, codes and standards are correctly identified and applied to engineering and technical activities.

3. Producing calculations, analyses, drawings, models, design base documentation and technical reports and supervising trainee staff in production of same.

4. Supervising designers in the production of drawings and engineering models.

5. Producing Technical Scopes of Work.

6. Producing technical specifications, assessing tender returns and providing technical support to those packages throughout the design, construction, installation, commissioning, operation and decommissioning phases of the project to ensure that the Design Intent is maintained.

7. Carrying out design risk assessments.

8. Reviewing design changes.

9. Assessing concessions and technical queries.

10. Raising design quality plans for single discipline work packages.

11. Preparing designs for hazard identification and HAZOP studies.

12. Ensuring that adequate Reviewing, Verifying & Approval is undertaken on all their deliverables.

The Senior Engineer should have a high level of developed knowledge in a specialist subject area, resolves specific technical issues and problems,

At this level, the Senior Engineer understands how to compiles technical reports and accompanying presentations, provides, reviews and adheres to specifications in accordance with stakeholder requirements. Coaches, mentors and assists others on matters pertaining to their own discipline, developing business awareness, builds strong working relationships with stakeholders, works independently with limited technical direction or as part of a small team.

Typically, Chartered Engineer status and member of IChemE or significant demonstrable engineering experience and capable of registration with the Engineering Council at CEng level. They shall also have an Engineering degree or equivalent qualification in relevant engineering discipline, with significant demonstrable experience.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS

Essential:
Engineering degree (or equivalent qualification) in relevant engineering discipline, with significant demonstrable experience
Member of relevant institute or significant demonstrable engineering experience and capable of registration with the Engineering Council
Demonstrable experience in managing small teams to deliver analysis activities on a range of project types
Demonstrable experience in covering a variety of tasks across a range of complexities
Excellent communications skills and the ability to interface with other disciplines

Desirable:
Experience in managing engineering scope for Projects from concept design to full Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC)
Breadth and depth of experience in a range of commercial or defence projects

MINIMUM LEVEL OF QUALIFICATIONS TO BE VERIFIED

Engineering degree (or equivalent qualification) in relevant engineering discipline, with significant demonstrable experience
