Job Description

Our Client is a family owned residential care home. They are currently looking for an experienced and compassionate Night Care Assistant or Night Senior to add to their team. A successful candidate will be aware of the importance of meeting the resident's needs, offering person centred care whilst helping them maintain a good quality of life.

We are looking for a committed individual who goes above and beyond to help, who has excellent communication skills and is willing to work on their own or as part of a team. Our care staff are dedicated, hardworking and cheerful and we are looking for someone who would be an excellent fit within the team.

About Care Role:

  • Full and part time carers, on a rota basis.
  • Supporting older residents, people with dementia and or mental health
  • Every other weekends.
  • Additional hours available to cover holidays etc
  • Usual shift times are 8pm - 8am this can be flexible and can be discussed.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Supporting older residents, people with dementia and or mental health
  • Assisting residents with personal care, including dressing, undressing, mobility, personal hygiene, eating and drinking.
  • Document and report any changes in residents health status.
  • Provide person centred care.
  • Ensure residents safety and well being.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Care Certificate or NVQ level 2 recommended but not essential
  • Experience of working with the elderly
  • Good Communication skills
  • Ability to work on their own or as part of a team
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 1 years' experience in the care of older people, Mental Health and preferably in a dementia care environment.

Salary: £9.00-£10.40 per hour DOE
