The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer is based within our Aviation business area.

The difference our new Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will make

As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. Liaising with other Senior Engineering functions and external sub-contractors relating to mechanical/structural design aspects of the delivery of rotorcraft/ helicopter modifications.

Day to day, you'll supervise the mechanical design engineering team in the production of part, assembly and installation drawings, in compliance with the Design Office Handbook (DOH) and relevant Certification Basis e.g., CS-27, CS-29 etc. Be the focal point for the production and installation engineers in matters relating to mechanical/structural design, create and contribute to customer facing design reviews throughout the design life cycle and manage and execute detailed aircraft surveys during quotation and delivery stages.

Essential experience
Extensive experience in an Aerospace Design role.
Working knowledge of EASA Part 21J and Certification Specifications.
Previous experience as a Part 21J Compliance Verification Engineer.
Obtain or have the ability to obtain Baseline Clearance
