Job Description

Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Are you a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer looking to further your career?

A brilliant opportunity has arisen for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join a busy, talented team in Birmingham with a lot of work in sectors such as education and healthcare coming up. The company have had some really exciting projects such as a £26million apartment scheme.

The design team is made up of 10 people currently, and they’re a really talented, young, fresh team.

The Role of a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will consist of,
  • Discipline – mechanical
  • Level – Senior
  • Minimum qualification – HNC (ideally degree)
  • Applicants should be made aware of the wide variety of services that we provide and that they may be involved/support all aspects of these, namely:
    • M&E design
    • Compliance (TM44, EPC’s, SAP, etc)
    • Feasibility studies
    • Energy surveys
    • Conditions surveys
  • The final point on the above list forms a significant percentage of our revenue stream and the candidate will undoubtedly be involved  with them (the whole team are). It often results in working away and can (in extreme circumstances) mean being away for weeks at a time. We would rather be upfront about this.
  • The applicant should have a clean UK driving license

There is also the opportunity to grow within the company, and take on your own projects. Most of the staff they have tend to stay so it’s a really great place to be.

The ideal Junior Electrical Engineer will have a relevant degree, although this is not essential. Experience is the key to this role.

There is a competitive salary of £35,000 - £40,000 depending on the individual, and a company car for the role of Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineer. There is also a pension scheme and 20 days holiday.

This is a perfect chance to join a company where there is real career progression.
