About the Role
Here at Babcock International we are currently looking for a Senior Functional Analyst to join us. We're a key strategic partner to our customers; the MOD and the Royal Navy. We ensure that the UK Royal Navy goes to sea safely by supporting them in the UK and around the world, delivering complex ship and submarine sustainment programmes and applying our core strengths of technology and expertise to sustain critical and complex assets to help maintain national security.
As a Senior Functional Analyst you'll work within the Through Life Engineering Management Solutions (TLEMS) team developing, maintaining and demonstrating solutions and systems in order to fully support business requirements and deliver solutions in line with our IT strategy.
Using your broad knowledge and experience of IT and Technical applications you'll work in close liaison with the Principal Functional Analyst to ensure that all new solutions align with the TLEMS roadmap. You'll support CAB and Project work assigned to TLEMS following the necessary development, testing, implementation, sign-off and delivery procedures in a cost effective and efficient manner. You'll maintain existing solutions, infrastructure, configurations and operations and identify new ideas, solutions and areas for improvement within TLEMS and also the wider organisation. You'll also supervise and mentor other team members, when required, deliver TLEMS training courses in various CAD applications, as well as new solution 'workshops'.
What do I need to do the role?
You'll be educated to Degree / HNC level in a relevant engineering discipline and be an expert in Computer Aided Design and or manufacture.
We would also like you to have the following:
Broad experience in IT/Technical Applications.
Good knowledge of Solution Architecture
Good knowledge of modelling and analysis tools, methods and standards.
Knowledge of application and user testing regimes.
Methodical and thorough with a strong analytical mind-setLastly, you'll have good interpersonal skills and effective communication skills with sound knowledge of business practices, procedures and stakeholder and customer engagement.

The successful candidate will need to satisfy Ministry of Defence security requirements. This will require you to hold or be eligible/capable of achieving 'Security Check' (SC) clearance.
