We are looking for a Senior Data Architect who will implement the strategy and ensure conformance to governance set by and under the guidance of a Lead Data Architect, and the departments ICT strategy, ensuring longevity and maintainability of any solution.
You will work closely with technical architects and business stakeholders to implement technical solutions utilising standards and principles developed in the data architecture practice.

You will create ideas within feasibility stages, considering and identifying risks, identifying viable solution options offering value for money delivery.
You will constantly strive to resolve complex technical design conflicts through stakeholder engagement and negotiation, presenting recommendations to senior stakeholders and governance forums.
Owning technical design documentation will be key. Along with designing standards, Metadata and Data Quality plus adherence and compliance across the team.
Ensuring that designs are fit for purpose (with emphasis on performance, volumetrics and costs), you will confirm that all are clearly understood and meet the strategic direction of Technology.
You will be instrumental in creating innovative ideas, considering risks, opportunities and impacts arising from digital technologies, as well as shaping propositions and suggesting viable solution options.
Working closely with business architects and product managers/customers, you will define the product approach to meet the specified user needs, defining skill requirements and managing capability and resource levels to meet the demands of the workload.
What skills and experience are we looking for?
The ideal candidate for this role will be able to demonstrate the following essential criteria
Good working knowledge of databases and the difference between different technologies.
Experience of delivering data governance principles and policies.
Experience and a proven track record in managing data architecture projects.
Expert understanding and experience of delivering under multiple methodologies (e.g. agile, waterfall, fail fast).
Experience of leading and developing data architecture principles and policies for enterprises.

You'll join our team at our digital hub in Blackpool.
