The Senior Buyer role is based within our Marine Engineering & Systems business area
At our site in Rosyth, we aim to deliver engineering-led and world-leading products and services across our engineering, specialised manufacturing, gas handling systems and naval marine businesses
The role
The difference our new Senior Buyer will make
As a Senior Buyer, you will have a role out of the ordinary.
The main objectives of this role include the efficient execution of established supply agreements; requisition to order conversion, order book management, expediting and payment, Maintaining the quality of the demand from Business Unit's projects and assuring supplier performance in close co-operation with Category and Project Procurement teams.
Your responsibilities will include sourcing and leading negotiations with suppliers to ensure that the most cost-effective supply solutions are obtained, managing supplier owned performance including supplier business reviews, KPIs & SLAs to deliver value. Other deliverables include ITT documents, creation of Value Plans and business cases for change management, and also improvement of the performance of the R2P process, such as req. to order conversion lead-times, EOTIF and invoice matching accuracy.

Essential experience
Extensive knowledge of operational procurement techniques
ERP systems for example, IFS, SAP, Oracle. Including exposure to the latest e-procurement systems capability
Experience with managing a team of buyers (highly desirable)
MCIPS or studying towards MCIPS or equivalent professional qualifications (highly desirable)
Holds / ability to obtain Security Clearance (SC)
