SEN Teacher required for a specialist SEN School In Scunthorpe

I am currently recruiting for an outstanding SEN school in Scunthorpe who are looking for a SEN Teacher to start after the Easter Half term to July 2019 in the first instance. The role has potential to become permanent from September 2019 for the right candidate.

As a special educational needs (SEN) teacher in this outstanding school, you'll work with all the children and young people who need extra support. The children who attend this schools have a range of physical disabilities, sensory impairments (i.e. hearing or visual), speech and language difficulties, learning difficulties such as dyslexia, conditions such as autism, social, emotional and mental health needs, or global learning delay. You may also work with gifted and talented individuals.

In this role you will need to:
" Teach either individuals or small groups of pupils within, or outside the class prepare lessons and resources, mark and assess work.
" Teach either individuals or small groups of pupils within, or outside the class.
" Develop and adapt conventional teaching methods to meet the individual needs of pupils.
" Use special equipment and facilities, such as audiovisual materials and computers to stimulate interest in learning.
" Work with the head teacher and governing body to ensure that the requirements of the Equality Act (2010) are met

Essential qualifications:

" Must hold QTS status.
" Experience of working in an SEN environment
" Experience of working with children with complex and physical needs.

You will need to show:
" Commitment to working with pupils with special educational needs
" Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
" The ability to manage confrontation and challenging behaviour team
