The role

As a Security Assurance Manager, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You will be responsible for coordinating assurance, managing accreditation activities across Babcock, and conducting technical risk assessments against information strategies.

Day to day, you will...

  • Complete project work for our Babcock Corporate Services department by inaugurating and attending security working groups with information assets owners
  • Coordinate responses and gather evidence of compliance against contractual and statutory requirements related to the management of information, to be presented to various assessing bodies
  • Attend meetings with statutory and customer accreditation bodies on behalf of Babcock
  • Attend meetings, support, and collaborate with the wider Babcock security community

Essential experience of the Security Assurance Manager,

  • Proven track record of information assurance and risk management experience
  • Practical understanding of Data Protection and Trade Controls legislation
  • Ability to understand and interpret security policies and standards

This is a full-time permanent role. Although our main office is based in Lakeside (Portsmouth), we are happy for the candidate to work fully remote and be located anywhere within the UK. Occasional travel may be required to Portsmouth for ad-hoc client meetings and training sessions.

The successful candidate must be able to achieve BPSS and SC security clearance level for this role.
