Science Technician (Chemistry)

Sheffield, South Yorkshire

£9.20 - £10.00 Per Hour
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are degree in Chemistry and experience of working as a technician, or a minimum of 1 years’ experience working within a Science Technician role within a Secondary School.

Vision for Education is currently recruiting knowledgeable and health and safety conscious Technician to work with Chemistry groups in the Science department of a large Sheffield Secondary school.

This is a supply role, and therefore is an ongoing supply requirement, potentially up until the Christmas break, or ongoing until the right candidate has been found for a permanent position.

The role

As a Science technician, you will be responsible for setting up lessons, health and safety checks, handling of acids and alkaline solutions, and supporting with learning resource for the department. Some demonstrations and classroom work may be involved.

Requirements

To be considered for the position of Science Technician, you will:

Hold a degree in Chemistry or have at least 1 years’ experience working in a school setting.
Have experience supporting in Secondary schools.

Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of Educational specialists.
