Full Time - 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

Monday to Thursday 9am – 5pm and Friday 9am-4.30pm

H3 Scale Point 5 to 6 (£19,650-£20,043)

Starting salary of £20,231 including fringe allowance

Required for an immediate start

A flexible working arrangement/job share will be considered for the right candidate


We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, reliable and hardworking  Site Assistant to join our existing Site Team in maintaining the school site in order to provide a clean and safe environment for all users of the school.

The successful candidate will work with the site team ensuring general repairs and maintenance are carried out. You will need to be able to use your initiative and problem solve and ensure that health and safety regulations are adhered to. Applicants should be willing to work at evenings and weekends. This is a fantastic opportunity to join our existing support staff at Chancellor’s.

We would like you to:

  • Be willing to work evenings and at the weekend
  • Have a GCSE in English and mathematics to grade 4 or equivalent
  • Have the ability to pay attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines and prioritise
  • Have the ability to engage with senior staff and colleagues in a professional manner
  • Be flexible, adaptable and able to act on initiative
  • Have the ability to work in a team as well as on your own with minimum supervision, using your initiative
  • Have good time management and organisational skills
  • Have the ability to use resources available to provide the most effective solution
  • Be willing to undertake further, relevant training
  • Have an awareness of COSHH regulations and Health and Safety procedures and precautions
  • Demonstrate knowledge of general building, DIY and maintenance activities, including the use of power tools
  • Have experience of caretaking in a school or similar environment and working with children
  • Have the relevant City and Guilds (or equivalent) trade qualification or equivalent level of experience
